The biosphere region of Switzerland
Valuable herbs and plants from Switzerland, which we purchase mostly from certified organic farms located in alpine and pre-alpine regions, are the basis of our BiosphereSwiss assortment. As frequently as possible, we use herbs and plants from the unique UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch. The region impresses with its apperently infinite moors, wild mountain streams and an incomparable flora and fauna – which were the reasons why it was chosen as Switzerland’s first UNESCO Biosphere. Only regions in which sustainable development is paramount receive this distinction.
